Real Rating: Video Projectors

My rating is closer to 3.5 stars. For a mini projector, this is a decent option. The biggest complaint is the fan noise level. This is very noticeable, but can be muted if something is playing over the connected speakers and you are not sitting too close to the projector. the screen is not blurry. The projector can really only be used at night or in a darkened room. The speaker built into the projector is not very good. You can connect a Bluetooth speaker or headphones for better sound. Let me put it this way, I found that the sound quality (usually excellent from my own speakers and headphones) wasn't that great when connected to a projector. Not bad, but there is something to consider. I bought a Roku flash drive that plugs directly into the projector and makes vaping easier. To connect my MacBook Air to a projector, I needed a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter. Obviously, all streaming controls must then be done from the laptop. To connect an iPhone you will need a Lightning to HDMI adapter or a screen mirror from a streaming stick/box if you have one. I haven't tried connecting any games. console, but it should be pretty easy. Overall, this is a fun buy with a visual component to match the price. My personal downside is sound quality issues, but that might just be me. I wouldn't say it can replace the TV. Many cables to control. But it's great for portable movie/game nights.
