The plastic screen covering the phone gives the appearance of water or moisture underneath. The plastic over the home button wore out after 3 days. I don't think it will be long before it breaks. The rubber surrounding the inner case is very hard. I don't know if it will soften over time but I will be returning this item. UPDATE - GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE: I was contacted by a seller who was very apologetic and offered to fix the situation any way they could. Last but not least, they have excellent customer service. I appreciate their quick response time and resolution.
