I thought this scarf was too smooth and too plastic to be real cotton. It's a very light fabric, but it doesn't have the fine grain that cotton has. So I did a burn test. I took a tiny scrap from the bottom of the hem and burned it. When it turns to ash, it's 100% cotton. If it turns into plastic or goo, it contains polyester. Of course, it turned into a hard plastic spiral. Not 100% cotton. Despite all that, I like it. I was going to send it back but it fits my skirt perfectly so I'll keep it. But I wanted to buy all the different models and now I won't.
