I got these collars on a subscription and saved up, but eventually stopped using them because they annoyed our cats. When you activate one of these collars for the first time, the scent has a strong chemical odor. And all 6 cats in our yard, both internal and external, will scratch and lick collars. I worry if they lick it due to a toxic smell. It seemed to help the fleas somewhat, but unfortunately the effectiveness diminished with the smell. I recommend that if you decide to use these collars, you wear gloves when handling them, otherwise your hands will also be covered by that chemical smell.
