Review on Steadyrack Classic Rack Wall Mounted Solution by Andrea Taylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The smallest and easiest way to stow your bikes

Spent a lot of time researching and testing bike storage systems. couldn't be happier with it. They are much more expensive compared to rubber coated hooks. But unlike this cheap option, they're rock solid, won't scratch rims, and make loading and unloading the bike as easy as riding it. Also, the ability to rock the bikes allowed me to mount them 16" apart (perfect for stud mounts), even mountain bikes with really wide handlebars. The only thing I have is the installation instructions. The mounting height calculation method is too far, especially for bikes with large tires. I had to add 2.5" for my mountain bikes and 1.5" for my dual sport with road tires. On bikes with large tires it is extremely important that the rear tire does not touch the ground or your bike will roll off the rack. No lifting - Sturdy construction - Seems to cost more than it's worth (and it's not cheap!) - Looks like they belong to a professional bike shop or the lobby of a Silicon Valley fashion startup - All hardware included, even for concrete and brick walls Cons - installation instructions may only apply to road bikes, so your mileage may vary - Seriously, th about that

Pros
  • Special purpose, aero, time trial and other racing bikes To stow the bike in a classic luggage rack, a minimum distance of 20mm between the front tire and the down tube is required. Some custom bikes, aero bikes, other road bikes and time trial bikes with lower ground clearance require our Fender Rack. Please check the suitability of your bike. **Not suitable for bikes with permanent or fixed front fenders.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
