Review on πŸ’… MelodySusie LED UV Nail Lamp Salon: Professional Gel Nail Dryer with Fast Curing LED UV Gel Polish - 3 Timer Controls for Salon-Quality Nails (Classic Black) by Tasha Fisher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

When choosing between a 12W nail lamp and a 48W nail lamp, always choose the 48W lamp.

TL;DR: This nail lamp is great and will cure all LED gel colors. I use Lechat and it's perfect! ----------- When I first got into gel nails, I started with MelodieSusie 12W LED Nail Lamp. This has worked very well with Gelish and OPI GelColors. However, I started buying Lechat Perfect Match because I love the regular nail polish that comes with it. However, Lechat nail polishes do not cure properly when using a 12w nail lamp. After two days of wearing, the paint peeled off leaving a wet stain underneath. I tried curing my nails longer (2 minutes vs 30 seconds) and used even thinner layers. It didn't last long, but I could smell nail polish everywhere. This told me that my nails had not healed enough. Lesha recommends a 36W LED nail lamp. And even though I knew this, I just didn't want to spend money on a more expensive nail lamp. About a year after buying various gel colors (OPI, Gelish, Elite 99, Lechat, and Exclusive Nail Couture) along with base and top coats, I thought maybe it was time to make the switch. What I love about this lamp:* It's motion activated* Has a timer* It has a fan that keeps your nails nice and cool while preventing heat flash* Fits my entire hand and cures the gel on all 5 fingers.* The bottom is removable. While this means I can do gel pedicures, I'll probably never use this feature. What I don't like about this lamp (but definitely a must have in a nail salon): * Beep. It beeps when you press a button, put your hand in it, or when a timer goes off. It's not scary as it makes me aware of the current situation. However, I find this function unnecessary for my purposes. *The timer is located on the back of the lamp. I have no idea how much time is left when I lay my hand down, but I know it's anywhere from 0 to 30 seconds.
