The first obvious thing. The thinner the hair, the more effective. Also apply it in a fairly thick layer so it works on most areas and also note that the advertised 4 minutes is probably not enough for most people. So I'm giving it 3 stars mainly for economy. Since I have to apply it in a very thick layer, there must be no cost advantage. If you apply it in a thick layer and leave it on for at least 7 minutes, it will do its job perfectly. I still have to go through some areas with a good old razor. Just don't buy it thinking it's some kind of hair miracle cure, because it's not. Indeed. I would say I can continue to use it on my back as I know I still need to touch up but not as often as I used to. As for other areas. not with my hair. It just doesn't cut (no pun intended). Also, the sections I tested on myself were very short, so length isn't the issue. I have a darker skin tone and have not burned at all. I didn't apply it directly to the "guys" but I did the base surface with no problems.
