I have four fluffy babies, two dogs and two cats and fleas are undoubtedly a problem in my house. Even with regular flea treatment, these tiny pests can be a big problem. One of my dogs is severely allergic to her so even a few fleas will cause her to shed her fur. Both of my dogs have the same coat, medium length, and I have a short haired cat and a long haired cat. Here's what I think of it: This flea comb seems to be doing a great job of what I've been using it for. The comb has two rows of teeth, and even if a flea manages to slip past the front row, it often gets stuck between the two rows in the middle. The pen is ok, nothing special, just a regular plastic pen. This comb is perfect for my dog, medium length coat. This is a lab so it may be a bit thicker in some regions than others. I was able to comb out the fleas easily. It also worked well with my two cats, easily removing fleas and dander associated with them.
