Review on πŸ‘• Men's X-Large Cotton Henley Sweater by Goodthreads - Clothing for Shirts by Alvaro Delic

soft stretch jersey dries forever

Midweight cotton henley is almost impossible to find these days. In the 80's I found material of 10 ounces (and more) (even without the internet). Currently, the 6.5 ounce material is labeled as medium and heavy. However, I did find a real, extremely heavy Henley from Camber in All Seasons Uniforms - 14.5 oz! I bought a few of these but at this price I don't think I'd want to make a "work shirt" out of them. Anyway, about this shirt: It's actually made of cotton jersey. Despite being a Henley style, the material is more akin to a sweater - thick but stretchy and lightweight, and like most jerseys, the wind blows right through. While I've washed and dried it well (very long drying time), I haven't noticed any shrinkage. In my experience, after several washes, such jerseys tend to stretch rather than shrink and tighten, although I would prefer the latter behavior. When it gets wet it stretches to the knees.
