Did I mention I LOVE them? I had these old giant pillows from an old couch I had years ago (okay, more than a few decades ago actually, but who's counting). Then there was a fashion where the cushions were the soft part of the back of the sofa, and the back of the sofa itself looked like a wooden plank covered with fabric. I left the couch but took the pillows for sentimental reasons and also because they were giant foam rubber and almost indestructible pillows which I loved. They were patterned and of course not combined with anything. All the pillowcases I've bought over the years (decades) have either been too big or too small, so I've settled for it. until I found this one. MY GOD! That is amazing. IRRESPONSIBLE! Exactly what I was looking for! Packaging - They came in typical department store packaging which is made from high quality foldable plastic with a zip closure and cardboard backing inside. The packaging is well suited as a gift. Pillow - wrapped together with inner carton. Perfectly matched. I saw a review that said they are 2 different colors. I don't understand why they took 2 batches of different colors to stack on top of each other in one package? Does this mean that a person goes to a different batch of paint to put the mismatched colors together to put in the same packaging visible through the plastic? I mention this because this comment almost made me not buy them and when I received them I couldn't understand how that was even possible given the way they were packaged. The stuff is THAT. Just that. This waffle weave is 100% cotton. I spent more on Pestemal towels which were less soft and of unparalleled workmanship because the towel is just a large rectangle with less overall fabric than two giant pillowcases. Blankets are SOFT, beautiful and make you want to lie in them. Tailoring looks good. These don't zip! Lightning loves to break. These are bag covers. You fold the pillow from the middle into the cover. I love it! I haven't washed them yet, but I think you can shrink them a few inches if you use lukewarm hot water or monitor drying in a hot dryer, removing them every few minutes to check size. If you use cold water and let them air dry or on a low heat, they probably won't shrink at all. They fit my pillows PERFECTLY as they are a bit loose to make up for the slight shrinkage. The pillow does not feel constricted and unnecessarily tight. If they shrink a little when washed in cold water, it doesn't hurt, they were sewn a little more at first. You are not skinny. They are THICKER than many Pestemal towels and designed to absorb a lot of water. I would say they are about as thick as regular terry cloth tea towels (not overly fluffy or linen). Looks like cotton waffle kitchen towels. What offer! I ended up ordering dark blue. They look like dark jeans. Did I mention I LOVE it? LOVE LOVE LOVE. I couldn't be happier!
