I have a silicone Joule cap and it works great. A few people have mentioned that the hole doesn't fit right, but mine fits like a glove. I always attach it at the end so that the joule is as deep as possible in the container. There's never a problem. The lid is flexible so it can be easily lifted to add or remove items from the water bath. Because it's flexible, you'll need to go over it like you would a zipper to ensure the seal is secure throughout. They worked like a charm, but for $12, they're a lot more convenient. In addition, they limit evaporation even better. I never have to add water. This thing works great with my Rubbermaid 18 liter container, but sometimes the container is too big so I bought a smaller container. Stupid of me, I bought 8 liters, which doesn't fit. As they say, it works fine. It just doesn't close all the way. Remember. You can use it with smaller square or rectangular containers.
