They are simple and elegant. Length 1.5 inch, width about 1/4 inch. They look great with matching earrings in the top piercing, but can also be worn alone. They're thin and not too long so they don't look crappy. I wear a lot of black so they are perfect. Sometimes I wear them with a small silver ball in the top piercing and sometimes with a small onyx stud on top. They have a classic design but are a bit extravagant. I would recommend using a plastic plug to keep them from slipping forward out of your ear. Edit: I've worn them a few times and been very careful with them. However, the wire has come loose from a piece of onyx and is beyond repair. Grrr. 0 stars for quality
