Tank Inlet Filter Creates Undercurrent That Stresses Fish

Media could not be loaded. My Half-Moon Betta could only handle so many rip tides created by the tank filter. Unlike most bottom filters (which take up the entire surface of the aquarium floor), this filter has a single inlet tube/inlet closed by a mesh. I suppose decorating the tank with lots of heavy decorations can eliminate the strong siphon created by that inlet valve. But this in turn will eliminate much of the space for the fish to swim freely. Not loud. Corrupt theme.
