I would like to answer all the comments about how difficult it is to apply. My husband had a few bugs with them early in the process. We use them to cover gauze and pads that cover the pleural drainage site. People are right when they say that if you're not careful they'll stick together and die. However, I suggested that my husband paste it like applying vinyl decals to a wall or wallpaper. Just peel off the backing of Tegaderm about 3 inches, stick to the desired location, and then slowly peel off the backing while applying Tegaderm to the gauze. Since using this procedure we have not lost a single Tegaderm patch. Also, for those worried about peeling off easily enough, the first few times you apply Tegaderm, your hair will be pulled out. It can be removed very easily and painlessly after the first few uses. We had no leaks. I have to change them about once a week when accessing stock. Even after daily showers I could not find any problems with the water.
