It's really awesome. See other reviews

This is really cool. See other reviews. But mine was wrapped wafer-thin in a single first-aid bag with a lining band. From what I understand they are sealed and then sterilized so that's probably fine, but I think most people would be outraged by that.

Otherwise it worked wonderfully! We could take him swimming.

Used on my son's gtube. This is life saving! He has such sensitive skin and is prone to fallopian tube infections. So we cover it with a Tegatherd to keep it dry. You must put gauze on the tube itself or the Tegaderm will get stuck and pull out its tube. Otherwise it worked wonderfully! Thanks to this, we took him sailing for the first time!

Great to use as a "strapless bra "!

So I bought bandages for non-medical reasons; I bought them to use as an alternative to a strapless bra. The Tegaderm is incredibly durable and has withstood my 34DD for hours of dancing. They are very easy to apply: cut the sheet into four parts; Lift the chest and apply from bottom to top, pulling for a "lift" effect. Use extra sheets for shaping. Much luck! Impregnate tattoo!

I got a new tattoo a few days before rafting. I was very nervous because my new tattoo got wet. After searching the internet I found Tegaderm. I tested it at home in the shower before going to the river. Tatu didn't get wet at all. On the day of the rafting I made sure the tattoo was completely covered and the edges were sealed. My new tattoo didn't come into contact with river water at all! Tegaderm saved my trip because I couldn't get a refund for rafting unless I found something to hide my…

works exactly as advertised

Very impressed - sticks well to healthy skin, not a wound. Anything wet will disable the stick, so care must be taken to keep the surrounding area dry. Had an accident being dragged about 20 feet into a parking lot resulting in serious LARGE road rash injuries. Non-stick gauze and an absorbent surgical bandage to cover/absorb the extrusion, then this material to hold and seal everything in place. If you apply it to an area that moves a lot, make sure you apply it in a "curved" state, it will…

Works but is reliable

Good thing it sticks well and does the job. However, since it has a cardboard that must be removed after application, it is difficult to apply it to specific areas of the body without causing blisters. Cardboard makes it difficult to close round areas like legs and arms, and since the cardstock itself is not transparent, you can't figure out why you're doing this when you apply. You can try removing the cardboard in the middle to open the passage of light, but this will stretch the dressing too

  • Useless features

Tip for easier application.

I would like to answer all the comments about how difficult it is to apply. My husband had a few bugs with them early in the process. We use them to cover gauze and pads that cover the pleural drainage site. People are right when they say that if you're not careful they'll stick together and die. However, I suggested that my husband paste it like applying vinyl decals to a wall or wallpaper. Just peel off the backing of Tegaderm about 3 inches, stick to the desired location, and then slowly…

UNBELIEVABLE. Best in First Aid

Well, last year I had the most disgusting mountain bike accident. I was going over the bars at 25 mph when a coyote ran in front of me and hit the (rocky) pavement, pushing my shoulder forward to absorb the whole impact and neither of them hit my head. I'm 185 pounds at 25 mph, that's a lot of power on my shoulder. My elbow went to the bone (it went through the skin). I tore almost every muscle, ligament, tendon and destroyed most of the cartilage in my shoulder. On top of that I had the most…

Excellent care for scratches and burns

Ideal for burns and scratches. I bought it when a family member got a rash in a bike accident. Then I used it on myself when I got a small second degree burn while cooking. If you like, you can put a little Neosporin on the wound and then cover everything with Tegaderm. Gauze is not needed. And you can cut it to any size and shape you want. You've probably seen this before. It is commonly used to hold intravenous catheters in the hospital. But it's also great for covering wounds, allowing those

This is the best patch I could find. I had a second degree burn on my leg that was too big for any band-aid. I had to put non-stick pads on my thigh to protect the burn. I've tried cloth tape, sports tape, and prewrap and sports tape and they all peeled off or wrinkled. I bought this product on my doctor's recommendation and was amazed at how well it adheres without compromising comfort. I wear foil with non-stick pads underneath for up to 24 hours at a time. Whether showering, vigorous…
