This is the best patch I could find. I had a second degree burn on my leg that was too big for any band-aid. I had to put non-stick pads on my thigh to protect the burn. I've tried cloth tape, sports tape, and prewrap and sports tape and they all peeled off or wrinkled. I bought this product on my doctor's recommendation and was amazed at how well it adheres without compromising comfort. I wear foil with non-stick pads underneath for up to 24 hours at a time. Whether showering, vigorous climbing, sleeping, or even wearing pants, the Tegaderm never became detached or fell off, nor did it ever cause discomfort. The price may seem high, but it's worth it. As soon as I put the film on I knew I could count on a piece to last over 24 hours if needed. I never had to apply a bandage again and was able to continue to move normally without worrying about my bandage staying behind. This product has made my recovery so much easier. After two weeks of non-stop wear, I developed a very slight rash around the clammy rim, probably just due to skin dryness and irritation. It was very mild and didn't bother me. The application is easy. All you have to do is peel the large sheet from the sticky side and press down. Next, peel off the edge of the paper from the top, making sure the edge is in full contact with your skin. After that you can remove the large middle paper. It really does feel like a second skin and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a large wound or a wound in a hard to reach area.
