Ideal for burns and scratches. I bought it when a family member got a rash in a bike accident. Then I used it on myself when I got a small second degree burn while cooking. If you like, you can put a little Neosporin on the wound and then cover everything with Tegaderm. Gauze is not needed. And you can cut it to any size and shape you want. You've probably seen this before. It is commonly used to hold intravenous catheters in the hospital. But it's also great for covering wounds, allowing those wounds to retain moisture while they heal. As for me, I had a one inch square second degree burn (no blister but raw and crimson) on my skin. foot as they splashed boiling water on me. With tegaderm I am confident that my burn will retain moisture and heal. Since the Tegaderm is clean I can see no infection developing. And since it's thin and flexible, I can cover everything with my sock. I can even wear shoes with it, but after a 3 mile walk the Tegaderm slipped so I had to put a new piece on. It's easy to remove. You know how the band-aid can really get stuck and hurt like hell when it's removed? Here it is not a problem. It can be removed very easily and painlessly, at least for me. YMMV. But the thing is, it comes off *much* easier than a band-aid. Buy it. You will not regret it.
