I am an elderly person, very healthy/active and an avid gardener. While I was heavily trimming hedges and removing overgrown shrubs in my new Florida home, the skin on my forearms was severely torn. I ordered another brand of knitted cotton blend sleeves for "sensitive elderly skin" that had the texture of lightweight socks. This brand would be good for those who need protection around the home but aren't fat enough for serious gardening. These sleeves are great - just what I needed! They are heavier in texture, stretchy but easy to put on and take off. I They reach to the middle of the shoulder for me. They stayed in place for a day of serious excavation. I'm 5ft 2in, 120lbs and honey. Frame. I measured my hand and ordered Med. As recommended by sizing and fits just right. They give a little compression but are very comfortable. I have sensitive skin and many other tissues make me itchy but NOT this one. A forearm I had was quite dirty and it was very easy to wash it in the sink. I hung it out to dry and it looks brand new. I am very happy with this purchase and will be buying more to use/wash.
