I think it will fit a road bike but it held up only 3 miles on my motorcycle off road in the desert before the PTT button stopped working. Doesn't work well with vibrations at all. I took it apart and found that the wires inside the switch had come loose. If you expect to be accidentally disconnected from the bike (which happens in the places I ride) then you don't want bolted connectors, but something that falls apart. Otherwise, unplug the wiring from one of the connectors. This hasn't happened to me, but I suspect it could be the problem.
