The photo shows new parts on top, old ones on bottom. Not the same. I reused the old spring and screws, used a new ring. The old source was key, the new source wasn't good enough. The new plastic is more flexible so will last longer than the stiff old hose that ruptured. It is more convenient to use. I didn't smell or taste plastic at first, but after about a week I felt its taste. It doesn't bother me, it doesn't bother me, but it's there. I use salt water, not regular water, not sure if that makes a difference. I don't notice any change in pressure. The reviewers who did this may have used a new spring or a faulty o-ring, which may have affected the pressure. YMMV. I am very happy with this replacement, I use it every day.
