The noise level when stretching and manipulating is satisfying for a fidget toy. My 3 and 4 year old grand daughters like to play with it. The reason I gave it 3 stars isn't about the quality of the product, but the concept of the product. My girls frequently squish the tubes and I have to use a chopstick to reach inside and reform the ridges so it will work again. I've told the 3 year old that she can't play with them for awhile until she learns to stop squishing them. (consequences are the best teachers!) Hopefully things will do better. As I said, great product, just poor concept in a toy. Am I glad I bought it? Yes. Just be prepared with a chopstick to do frequent repairs.
