I use two of these to mount a portable monitor, almost perfect solution, I would like to see some improvements. Adhesion (metal plates) - I followed all the instructions, cleaned, dried and didn't use the magnets more than 12 hours after sticking the metal plates on, but after the first day of use one of the metal plates came off. I hate returning products for this reason, will buy replacement metal plates and see if they work better. Please fix this issue. Corner. The magnets are angled slightly, but not enough to position the attached monitor at a comfortable viewing angle. It'll take some rethinking (maybe two magnets attached to a hinge that allows 45-degree rotation?), but just like today, it takes a bit to get to the end of the attached monitor. Attach/Detach - the magnets are very strong. , they stick by force (can they damage the monitor/laptop?) and also require some force to detach (can the adhesive behind the metal plates rub off over time?). As mentioned above, solving this problem also requires a rethink. The weight. It has nothing to do with this product, but after attaching a monitor (mine weighs 1.4 pounds) your laptop will be heavy for comfortable use on your lap. , so you might want to stand it up so the weight of the monitor is on a pillow or something :) All in all it's still a fantastic product! Haven't tried the side mounting clip but I imagine it would be a hassle and if it were too tight the screen could be damaged(?). This is probably the best product on the market and I highly recommend it!
