Review on Mudder Classic Surface Mechanical Birthday by Chad Gravely

I have given this Mudder pocket watch 3 stars because I have a mixed review. I bought it because I liked the look and the price. Now that I've got it in my hands, I'm also impressed by its weight. I haven't had it long enough to know how accurate it is, but I'm not overly concerned about it. Even if I have to adjust the time from time to time, it doesn't bother me. That's part of the fun of owning a pocket watch. Not only do I enjoy checking the time, but I also wind it, set it, watch the gear and mainspring move. The reasons I didn't give it 5 stars were that it was advertised with a chain which I didn't receive, the glass (plastic) is loose and the lid covering the crystal is off center. I don't know if you can see from the picture how off-center it is, but that was the first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box. I don't know if the problem is with the hinge or if the lid was fitted incorrectly, but I noticed it before I realized there was no chain in the box. I thought long and hard about coming back or not. It's everything I could have hoped for in a pocket watch, minus the issues of course. I know I can still enjoy it the way it is, but keeping it also reminds me if I should ever take the risk and buy another Mudder watch.
