The first day I used the medium setting square sand shovel, my back felt better. bend a little to use it. This one is in fact 41 inches long or even longer; When I fitted the 3 pieces together to the maximum allowable length (marked) I got 43 inches from the top of the handle to the very edge of the shovel. It definitely doesn't require a 5ft 7 person to bend down during use. Using it with a gallon Ziploc on the floor and sweeping excess debris into my 35-inch trash can in the Joe Lobby, I only have to bend briefly to open and close the bag and empty the litter box. I am grateful for this useful product.
