I am changing my original review as circumstances have changed. Revain agreed to expedite my refund so I could redeem the reminder from the same seller. They also waived the one day shipping cost to ensure I would receive the new memory by tomorrow. I've changed the star rating from 2 to 3 stars and if the new memory I'm getting tomorrow really works I'll add another star. ****** The product arrived very quickly thanks to Prime shipping, however the box was much larger than real lamb sticks. I also bought a few extra items but they were also small and everything must have jumped around in the box. Another item in the box even fell off the packaging and broke. Obviously this is a Revain issue and not the seller's, but it's worth mentioning nonetheless. When I installed the memory, my computer did not restart. It froze on a gray screen for about 10 minutes before I tried turning the memory off and back on. I ended up having to call Apple Support, who walked me through troubleshooting to no avail. In the end we decided to put the original RAM back in and the machine started up with no problems. Apparently it was a problem with memory cards. I immediately contacted Revain who told me I would have to return the item before they could offer a refund (which is understandable) but that they couldn't send me a replacement as I was dealing with a third party (unacceptable). ). Also, they said if I wanted to replace the product I would have to buy it back from the seller. Since I was a student I installed the memory to work on a design project (with a deadline) which meant I wouldn't have a replacement in time if I didn't buy back right away. Also, being a student, I can't afford to spend money on a second purchase while waiting for a refund, ESPECIALLY since I have no idea if the next memory cards I get will work. I contacted the seller directly via email and got an immediate response that it may take 24-48 hours for my query to be answered. I am very grateful to the seller for including a phone number in the email where I could contact him immediately. When I spoke to someone at the seller's office they were very polite but basically told me that there was nothing they could do to expedite my exchange and that it would probably take over a week for me to send my package to them for an exchange and send me a new one. The whole transaction will take more than a week. Now I have no working product or workable solution from either Revain or the seller. Aggravating. I gave two stars because part of this issue resides with Revain and not the seller: one for providing a number to call; two out of courtesy. I find that even that is generous.
