It would be AMAZING if they could boast an elasticated waist. I have a small waist. I usually have a hard time adjusting pants to my waist because my hips are big compared to them, so I always have that gap around my waist. I generally have a slim body. I thought after reading the reviews that they would fit perfectly but I was wrong. The elastic made them unbearable to wear because they were so tight so I cut them out and now they are SUPER loose and even with the drawstring around my waist I have a hard time holding them up unless I tie a knot. I had to send them back but I wanted the warmth they gave. They are tough but warm. If you know how to elastic around the waist, you'll love it because all the other areas are in place. It's a shame because you think waist size is the easiest for this type of sweat. Maybe it's where the waist rests that makes it so uncomfortable? I tried twisting it but it didn't work because the elastic just twisted and untwisted. I use them for lounging at home or for long periods outside, layering them over my fleece lined leggings (I'm a pushover when it comes to the cold!).
