The problem isn't subtle, but it's very noticeable. I had to attend an event that required me to wear a white shirt, so I ordered it in white. I already have the same shirt in a few darker colors but was disappointed to see how see through the white version is. The hair on the chest and body is clearly visible through this shirt. The nipples are also visible in great detail - maybe not a big deal for guys, but do you really want people to be distracted by your nipples? Basically, the white version of this shirt cannot be worn without a tank top. I suspect that with this level of sheerness you'll probably get away with a loose fitting shirt, but the Xtreme Slim Fit is cut close to the skin for a more customized look. Unfortunately, a t-shirt isn't ideal either, as the t-shirt is clearly visible through this shirt, especially the collar and sleeves of the t-shirt, and if you're wearing a short-sleeved t-shirt, the hair on your die Arms are still visible. . As such, I recommend this shirt in one of the darker colors, but I do not recommend this Xtreme Slim Fit shirt in white due to its extremely sheer nature.
