Review on Yealink Headset Adapter EHS40 Black by Leon Johnsson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Sound quality degrades over time

I have a Plantronics Savi 8220 headset and it was connected to a Yealink T46S phone using a legacy EHS36 adapter and some cables. This worked fine, but when the EHS40 came out it looked like the best solution as there was now only a USB connection to connect to the phone. It's much cleaner and easier to install, and end-users don't make mistakes when plugging in a headset. Problems started fairly soon after replacing the EHS36, with users complaining of crackling audio. When you disconnect and reconnect the EHS40 to your phone, the audio returns to normal for what appears to be a completely random period of time. We also noticed that when the phone is flashed or rebooted, the phone no longer recognizes the adapter until the EHS40 is removed and reconnected to the phone. EDIT: I purchased an APU-76 PLT adapter and have had no audio issues and no issues after restarting the phone when the adapter is not recognized. If you have a compatible Plantronics headset and a Yealink phone, I recommend this adapter. https://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-APU-Adapter-Switch-CBL/dp/B07GC6PFYD/?keywords=Apu-76 If you have a compatible Plantronics headset and a Yealink phone, I recommend this adapter. https://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-APU-Adapter-Switch-CBL/dp/B07GC6PFYD/?keywords=Apu-76 If you have a compatible Plantronics headset and a Yealink phone, I recommend this adapter. https:
