Just got back from the Apple Store after bringing my daughter's 5 month old 16" Macbook Pro because the retina display was broken. My daughter needs this computer for a distant school and I do was willing to give Apple hell for breaking a $2,300 five-month-old computer. Until the tech showed me the crack in the display right next to that camera cover! He told me the crack was because of that the laptop was closed with the lid closed. So if you have an old laptop with a frame around the screen, feel free to use it. But attaching it directly to a glass panel on newer models is a disaster that can happen. I can only hope that it is covered by the warranty This product must carry a warning label!
