My Dyson V8 Absolute has been running great for over 4 years with regular cleaning of the pre and post filters - finally the vacuum time and battery life have been greatly reduced and I'm concerned that I had to pay another $600 for a new one. Decided to look for parts first. At Dyson, 1 pre-filter and 1 post-filter is $35 and a spare battery is $130-$165 plus tax. I ended up getting a Revain Top Choice -4.5Ah Jialitt replacement battery for $54 and a 6-pack GreenVacShop filter set (3 each) for $20. The battery capacity and the new filters (which fit and look the same as the original filters) bring the suction power back like new. Mrs. Me and our 3 dogs are thrilled to save $90 AND 2 extra filters per filter!
