I bought this Makita GA7040S 20 days ago. I have a small 4 inch Makita grinder that is about 17 years old and works great. But I need a bigger mill for a big job. Makita GA7040S industrial size and quality. PRO: Very good design including ergonomics. The soft start technology is great, no judder, no kickback, no vibration and it's the quietest grinder compared to other brands. The 15Amp 8000RPM motor makes big jobs very easy. Yes, this grinder is for extra large jobs, not for the average body shop (which 5 inch variable speed grinder would do best). MADE IN USACONS: Weighs 16 pounds and does not come with a hard plastic carrying case like other Makita tools. This is the only reason for 4 stars. In addition, this model will be the best on the market. And I love this tool. I have used this tool with a Dewalt 6" wire brush ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342450092&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=Dewalt+6+ich+carbon%2Fsteel+wire+brush to remove rust from steel beams.
