This is my second pair of these wonderful gloves. I used to buy Grease Monkey fingerless wipes from Home Depot, but they only lasted a month before they got destroyed. Ergodyne ProFlex lasts around 4 months and offers much better protection from wear and tear and cuts. My first pair began to unravel along the long seam at my fingertips. Functionally, they are still in use, but for more "dirty" work such as collecting rubble, drilling masonry, etc. In addition, the first pair is washed in a mesh garment bag and put in the dryer every week. They are very easy to clean and ready to use next week! The only thing about Ergodyne ProFlex is that they are hot. This isn't a negative for me as I have arthritis in my hands and wrists and this warmth actually makes my joints a little more flexible. This aspect may or may not interest you. It's MUCH cheaper to buy a pair of these every 4 months than $10 a month for a Grease Monkey (although they're cooler!).
