It takes me 2.5 hours to and from work by public transport and I am bringing my own laptop/equipment/packed lunch. I've tried several backpacks from well-known brands like Swiss Gear, Herschel and even Travellon and while they were all great backpacks, they lacked one or more of the following: functionality, comfort and safety. My back and shoulder pain got so bad after a year of work that by the age of 23 I was seeing a physical therapist weekly due to what is known as "hypermobile shoulder blades". However, I have been using this backpack for 2 months now and all the boxes! Everything is very functional with its well-designed compartments and the compactness also helped me not to take unnecessary things with me that would add extra load to my backpack. Speaking of weight, the compartments and support on the straps help distribute the weight and keep it natural for me, even carrying over 7 pounds on my back and standing on a 30 minute train ride. Another plus point for me as a passenger is the TSA lock and the metal wire, which give me a safe feeling on the road.
