Blackvue Must Come Together

I bought this dash cam based on some reviews I saw on YouTube. The picture quality is really good. The facility isn't even bad. The app is barely ok but the cloud service is rubbish. I may have gotten stuck transitioning to a major firmware and cloud update, but I think I spent more time on the phone support than the camera. Here are my points to make public: 1) The camera feels HOT. I was trying to troubleshoot my home wifi problem and when I took the camera off the mount it felt HOT. I could hardly hold it in my hand. It was at night, after any sun could warm him during the day. 2) There is no status page so you have no idea how much space is available on your SD card, what voltage the camera is detecting in parking mode, the temperature inside the camera, the Wi-Fi signal strength and anything else that might be affect usability or have an automatic function should have a status that you can see. 3) After the latest firmware came out mid-May 2021, I no longer receive notifications on my phone, I only see them in the notifications list. Notifications have moved local time forward, but if you go to the notifications page after UTC time is past 11:59 PM, you'll have to force the calendar date so the notification still matches your local time, so the notification doesn't automatically turn on every time you turn it on. I have to move the cables to get to the Wi-Fi button. 5) I paid $450 for this thing and only get 10 video views per month for free and they're not even on the cloud, they're still on my cam. I need to be near the camera and use a WiFi hotspot to view additional files. 6) Even though the camera is set to "motion and shock sensors" for parking mode, it still records 24/7 and fills the SD card. . It might be minor, but they should at least rename or notify users that it's still recording 24/7.) I also have an LTE module, read my review of that for a whole new list of issues.

Pros
  • The optional CM100LTE connects to your compatible BlackVue X-Series DVR to provide easy 4G LTE connectivity. All you need is a valid Nano SIM card. The CM100LTE connects to the DVR's USB port.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
