These are the easiest to install car shades i have ever used. The magnets are powerful enough to quickly snap to the window frame but not enough to prevent my older child from pulling it down if he yanks on it. I don't really use the suction cups because i have issues getting them to stay on and it works great without them. I assume using the suction cups would help prevent him from pulling it down. The only thing to watch out for is this can make your blind spot larger when swapping lanes and such since it is completely solid instead of a mesh fabric like others. To prevent this i just slide it it back like a curtain a bit so i can see better. Even when sliding it back it provides more than enough coverage to keep the sun out of my kids eyes.
