Review on ๐Ÿšต Tommaso Montagna 100, 200, Elite: The Ultimate Men's Mountain Bike Shoe for Indoor Cycling, Velcro Straps, Buckle, Quick Lace, & SPD Cleats Compatibility - Black by Mark Adams

I recommend them as a beginner.

This is my first pair of mountaineering boots without clips. I will spend a month with them on the 18th and I still like them. First Impression - I really like the simplicity of the design. Love the black and reflective emblem on the Achilles padding. The velcro is very strong and hasn't come loose yet. They are very stiff and durable when pedaling. There is a significant difference between these shoes and wearing them with flat pedals. I got sores (numbness) from overexerting myself. I assumed they should be, but once they found the speed spot they felt great. Be careful when walking on gravel. Small rocks tend to get caught between the cleat and cleat of the shoe, causing the clip not to engage. These shoes work great with Shimano PD-M520 SPD pedals. Update: So the shoes still feel good and are starting to shrink. I still have to practice falling spontaneously because I'm missing a clip. Nothing wrong with these shoes other than I really like them. I'm very glad I got 100 instead of 200 because I read reviews for 200 and the strap clip broke. With Velcro I don't have to worry about that. I am US size 8.5 and EUR 42 fits perfectly. There is still leeway in what I wanted. They come with 4 metal spikes (see last picture). They are bolted to the front of the boot to help dig into the ground when running uphill. They work great but add weight to the shoes. Since I live in the valley, I took them off and can feel the difference in weight.
