We bought this mattress pad for our daughter's king bed. I found a topper cover, a really good one, and posted it. The case has both a top and bottom cover with a zipper which I thought might reduce the softness of the topper a bit and hoped it wouldn't affect the comfort too much. It didn't soften this thing at all, which was unfortunate. She climbed into the bed and immediately drowned, the edges of which curled around her. Whenever she tried to move or roll over, it took her a noticeable effort to break out of her depression. At the same time we bought a new box spring mattress so there was plenty of support under the pad so this was not a problem. a room that is fine. The topper covered in this review is likely to be suitable for a very firm bed, for use on the floor with a mattress (or as a sleeping pad), or for a small child up to 40 or 50 pounds; but for us it was too much. In addition, it smelled of chemicals right out of the box for several days. It mostly cleared up after a few days but delayed it getting to her bed. The pillow looks well made and is built to last. Maybe only 4 inches is too tall for a topper. The one we replaced these with was a 3 inch version.
