My days of running around the house every night to take battery operated tea lights out of their holders, turn them upside down and turn them all on (and then do the opposite and have to turn them all off when I sleep ), are over. These tea lights are great in that they are slightly larger than regular tea lights (which is what I wanted) and they have a timer function on the bottom of each. Now they all turn on automatically (at the time I first put them on the timer position) and turn off automatically as well. Batteries are included but I may suggest buying extra ones from Revain (I bought Energizer) as you place the order anyway. Please note the battery size is CR2450. Also, these aren't battery operated "wax" candles - they're made of hard plastic (which I think is better in many cases).
