The stand is reasonably priced, works well but has a limited lifespan due to its construction. Three legs are made of thin metal rods. Each time you open and close your legs, the bars flex and relax. The rod quickly weakens at the point of bending and of course breaks under the load. My block lasted three months until opening and closing broke the pivot in one leg. light weight so if this is a purchase you throw in your bag but rarely use you might find it suitable. Otherwise, spend another $8 and get a better device. The bluetooth remote works well. Just connect it to your phone's Bluetooth and shoot.
