This connector allows the installation of a variety of aftermarket head units in vehicles that use a VW style connector. These include BMW, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, Chrysler Crossfire (a lightly camouflaged Mercedes SLK) and other vehicles. Simply connect this connector to your aftermarket stereo's power/speaker wires by following the international color scheme (and most importantly the aftermarket installation manual instructions) and you can connect your aftermarket stereo to your car's factory wiring harness. Using this connector prevents cuts to the vehicle's wiring, making it easy to later remove the aftermarket stereo if you wish to keep it when you sell your car. Simply remove the upgraded stereo by unplugging it and plug in the old factory stereo that came with the car! Given the low price of this connector, it should be on every installer's must-have list!
