This worked, it adjusts to the height I want and I can easily move my laptop from my desk to the lowered adjustable desk and put it on Tier I prefer to lift. The lower rating relates solely to the difficulty of moving backwards. As advertised, it is a simple mechanical device with no hydraulics. When it's up and you want to lower it, it's very difficult to lower as it requires one hand to hold the platform under the platform and the other has to lift the bar that locks the slots for different heights. It becomes difficult when the laptop is still connected. My solution is one of two. I tied the rope to the bar and held it with my teeth to raise and lower the barbell with both hands, holding it in a raised position. Either that or use it standalone, just remove the laptop and move it to a different location on the table. It works well, durable enough just beware of some inconveniences.
