They definitely serve their purpose, have been washed several times and still look new. I would recommend them. That being said, I have two complaints. One is that I ordered black with a pink stripe down the side, but the pocket piping at the top is black instead of pink. As someone who wears a very large dress and has some fat on my thighs, this black trim really cuts across my thigh and makes the pink bulge on either side very noticeable. I really wish they had made the pocket piping pink instead of black. My second issue that actually scared me a couple of times is that if I stop on my bike and then get back on, the part in the back where the padding starts gets caught on the top of my seat and I win. unable to stand up fully. A few times it was scary when I started driving down the street. Maybe it's a problem with all bikes, I don't know.
