I replaced my old set of batteries with these. I didn't know how bad my old ones were until I tried these. I got about five hours of use on my old kit at most. Batteries arrived partially charged. It took about an hour to complete them. The charger was easy to use. It says "full" when they are at maximum power. I didn't feel any appreciable heat from the device or the batteries that bothered me. I don't think it's possible to put the batteries in the wrong way round as the small tab on the bottom fits one side of the battery but not the other. I've been playing for at least 12 hours since I first popped the controller into my controller and the controller is still basically charged as per the indicator on my Xbox home screen. I am very happy with it.
