BLEF: This works fine once you figure out how to set it up.

It's hard to figure out how to set the time. The instructions were difficult to understand as they seemed to be translated by someone who speaks English as a second language. I put the watch on a window facing the sun for the day, then reset the hands, then set the time zone, then set it to pick up the time signal and it works pretty well. It took me a few days to figure out how to do this, but I found some helpful videos on the internet for this. The watch automatically sets the correct time using DST. Set up a week ago and tested again today with NIST and it's accurate to the second. Normal wear and tear after a week and still says it has a fully charged battery. My biggest complaint right now is that the bracelet is held in place by really cheap/weak spring pins. If you pull the strap a little, the pins that attach the strap to the watch will loosen and the watch will fall off your wrist. The positive side of this is that when the pins are pulled out, they can be reinserted very easily without any watch tools. Not bad for a $75 solar watch, but you'll need to replace the spring bar pins on the strap. UPDATE: I took the watch to a jeweler and replaced the spring bar pins with stronger ones. It cost me $10. No more watch band problems. The jeweler must have accidentally pressed some buttons because the time was wrong when I got it back. I reset the hands again, set the time zone and set it to receive the time signal manually. When I later came back to check it was on the correct date and time. The watch indicated the battery was half charged afterward, but the time is reported to the nearest second on the NIST website. The instructions state that it adjusts itself every night based on the time signal it receives. I put the watch in a window facing the sun for a day and it again indicated a full battery. This is the only time I've had to "top up" it beyond the initial charge since I received it. I wear it every day and spend about half the day outside. Except for the spring pins I had no problems with it. It's too early to say how they will perform over time, but for me it's a good watch. I almost changed my rating to 4 stars, but cheap pens and poorly written instructions keep me from doing it. If it still works well after a few years I would give it 4 stars.
