Accurate to the second

This clock is a little tricky to set up, but once you set it up there's not much left to do. The only real downside is that you can't install it manually. It needs a radio signal to work. I live 1700 miles from Fort Collins and this watch should have a range of 900 miles. The watch picks up the signal as long as the sky is clear at night. I found another solution to this problem. You can set up your watch by putting it in receive mode and using the North American WWVB emulator app on your…

Great watch for everyday.

I bought this clock to replace my exercise/out of home clock. The numbers are a little strange - note that the numbers 1 to 12 correspond to 5-60 minutes. It's a bit bulky, but the face is big enough to be seen during an intense workout and the fabric strap is comfortable. Some people have complained about the instructions but mine came with English instructions and I have already received the English instructions via email to the seller and another set downloaded via google search. The guide…

It's 1-2 minutes fast

I'm worried that the clock, which is calibrated daily by the atomic clock radio signal, will be 1-2 minutes ahead. I live about 947 miles from the transmitter in Fort Collins, Colorado in a straight line. Officially, the watch is outside the 900-mile range, but not by much. And while the signal is being received I don't see how this will affect the minute accuracy of the watch. It rubs me when I think about it. I have a black on black version of the watch with a black dial and black case. It…

Decent watch, read the review for important info!

I'm a big fan of solar/atomic watches. I have Citizen's Blue Angels, Citizen's Drive and Casio Rangeman watches which are all solar/atomic watches (for some reason I want to know what time it is when the world ends! LOL). Let's start with that. This watch feels heavy and solid which makes me think it's strong enough. The hour markers have an increment of 5 instead of 12 which I think is unique and only within those numbers is there an increment of 13 to 24 hours I think to simplify military…

Beautiful functional quality watch.

I almost bought it because of the negative reviews about the clock setting. Pssshhhhhh, that was a breeze to install. Guys, how often do we actually READ instructions. EXACTLY until something goes wrong? So here's my advice: make sure the instructions are in the right order, they're on two little sheets. READ, actually read the instructions completely. So far it has taken less than two minutes. You need to set the day and date, and then run all three hands to point directly at the noon…

BLEF: This works fine once you figure out how to set it up.

It's hard to figure out how to set the time. The instructions were difficult to understand as they seemed to be translated by someone who speaks English as a second language. I put the watch on a window facing the sun for the day, then reset the hands, then set the time zone, then set it to pick up the time signal and it works pretty well. It took me a few days to figure out how to do this, but I found some helpful videos on the internet for this. The watch automatically sets the correct time…

Great watch though. NO RADIO RECEPTION IN MASSACHUSETTS!

I love this watch and would love to keep it. I'm a software engineer and I have a good understanding of what mechanisms should do and how they should work. I think I understand this watch, the importance of setting the time zone and geographic location (New York in my case), the importance of making sure it is set to the correct radio frequency (WW) and the importance it is to reset them to zero. . I did everything And I made sure it really is set up the way it should be. I then initiated…

Here's why and how it works for me (but I returned it)

First, the instructions clearly state that the watch can only receive a radio signal within about 900 miles of the station, which nearly includes all of Europe and Japan, but only part of the United States, from the west coast to a line roughly between Chicago and Houston. If you are in New York or Miami, the clock will not work. This is probably the main reason why some buyers are disappointed and give the watch a bad rating. Quite understandable since Revain's description (as far as I can…
