Ok here's the real deal of these pants and the fact that they run small so I'm only giving it 3 stars: I just ordered them and they arrived very quickly. (I just had female surgery and was looking for something nice, cool, comfortable, roomy and functional for my work, something different from all those silly jersey jogging pants that are stretchy but too hot in these warmer months.) Very nice pants and good quality . I have beefy, muscular legs from an active lifestyle and am now slightly overweight. (We're working on it! LOL) I bought a pair of Twill Stretchy Jogger Pants by George at Walmart, you know the ones that come in caramel, black, light blue, and claret. I bought them in 40-42 (just because they don't make 38-40) and they are very good and have a lot of space. So I bought these one size Southpole pants. WRONG ANSWER JOE HANSON!. They fit like a pair of 36-38s at Walmart in the George brand.) Legs are slightly narrower in the calf area if you have meaty calves. (Disclaimer: if you're skinny you'll be fine, if you're chunky and beefy they'll be a bit tight. I personally don't mind that.) It's all said if you're chunky and beefy. Order a size up or you'll regret it. I saw some other people say that, but I was like, "Ahh, of course not." Well I was WRR, WRRR, WRROOO,,,, WRONG! Of course I lose 15-20 pounds, 40-42 is enough, but for today I ordered more, but one size up! Let's hope the sizes fit! So, my burly and beefy comrades. ORDER ONE SIZE.
