Feels like thin raincoat material! This is so much better than a plastic poncho! I'm so glad I have a poncho that I love wearing at Disney World every time I go there. I really don't like those horrible yellow ones that Disney sells and I don't like the idea of disposables because they can get torn up every time someone wears them. This will come in handy for years to come! Looks and feels exactly as expected! Love! UPDATE: I've used it for 2 trips to Disney World now - it didn't rain heavily on my first trip so it stayed in my backpack the whole time. However recently it has been raining on both days of my trip which has kept me very dry. It fits great and keeps everything dry from the head to just below the knees (for reference, I'm 5ft 5in). When the rain stopped I was able to unzip the poncho instead of trying to pull it over my head and after getting wet I shook it off, rolled it back into my tote bag and then put it back in my backpack. Inside, my backpack stayed completely dry and I stayed completely dry. What more could you want from a poncho? It was completely dry the next day when I took it out for my next shower. I will take it with me on every trip I take. And I will be buying more for friends and family!
