I installed this in the back of a 17 year old small car. Location was an issue but I loved the location. I had to buy a set of hole saws from my local hardware store to cut a hole for this setup. I recommend the same to anyone installing this in a new location. I was very surprised to see that it comes with a fuse pre-installed to protect the circuit you plug it into. Luckily I had a 12v wire close to where I installed it so I didn't have to add an extra wire. The location I chose required that I "set up" the support piece and "made" it to sit flush. I used the JB Weld Plastic Weld that I previously ordered from Revain and it worked GREAT! Now an overview. I didn't check the output, the red LED helps to find the plug in a dark car at night, so that's cool! Anyone who has used plugs has found that they charge their devices faster than even their premium fast chargers. So I'm not worried about getting out. Full Disclosure I ordered very similar sockets from another site the same day I ordered these because they were half the price. It's been over a month and I still don't have any other plugins from any other site. If you want one that works 5* and is needed quickly, get it here.
