I use them to make Crystal Radios and they work great. I just remove the help end, then disconnect and strip the wires and they're ready to go. I have used several of these headphones and they always work flawlessly. The only thing is that they are fragile so you don't want to drop them or the piece of plastic that goes into the ear will fly out right away. I used a small 3D printed plastic cover to replace the broken part and it still worked like new. I recommend!
