I was thrilled to receive them as my old concentrator had been dropped on the tile floor so many times it had chipped and cracked. They fit my hair dryer perfectly. I tried the hub which was wider the first morning. It worked, but the width was larger than what I've used before and I wasn't happy with the result. But better than without a hub! The next day I changed the wide hub to a "regular" wide hub. While blow drying my hair, I noticed something funny when I looked in the mirror. I turned off the blow dryer and saw a bubble form which was then blown out the side of the concentrator. I turned off the hair dryer and waited for it to cool enough to remove the nozzle. While waiting, I grabbed a wider one and looked inside. Of course, the plastic also started to bubble on the wider one. I guess the only reason it didn't punch a hole in the side like the smaller one is because the width allowed for more heat dissipation. However, I am sure that if I continued to use it, I would also have a hole in it. I pulled the concentrator that came with my hair dryer out of the trash. It ripped but I used it for three years. I've looked inside and there are no obvious signs of melting. Three years of high temperature and the original hub has not melted. A hair dryer for each of them and they'll even melt if they blow a hole in the side. I rated this two stars because it fits. And if you don't dry your hair at a high temperature, it may not melt. I will continue to use my old broken hub. I don't want the smell of burnt, melted plastic when drying my hair.
